New Earrings For Fall 2011

I've been adding some beautiful gemstone earrings to my line up at Boho wire Wrapped. I've been using some interesting colors, textures and techniques and thought I'd give you a peek.

First up, I added a pair of sunny, soft yellow citrine and Oregon sunstone earrings made with very high quality, unusual faceted gemstones.

Here's another pair of warm color earrings, peach chalcedony angels trumpet earrings with pale natural peach potato pearls

and a pair of carnelian rose carved flower earrings with copper and gold filled leaves and twigs.

More warm colors are represented by these adorable heart shaped gold rutilated quartz and faceted carnelian teardrops a cute, sassy pair of brilliant yellow glass earrings and gold wire wrapped rosy pink rhodochrosite..

On the other hand, if you prefer cool colors, there are some beautiful choices that I recently listed. Cool, soft chrysocolla in quartz has a translucency that gives it a delicate, ethereal look, the scroll work and beaded edge give these a very different appearance.

These malachite and chrysocolla earrings contain both polished and matte finishes on blue and green stone beads on sterling silver:

True blue larimar pairs up wonderfully with lavender crystal opal with blue fire to create a vision of elegance in these simple drops and very rare, costly cats eye alexandrite.makes a feminine statement when wire wrapped and paired with charoite.

Some Suggestions for Your Fall Jewelry Wardrobe

At this time of year I always get a sense of recharged energy. Early fall is a time of riotous color in Mobile, Al. Lush, deep broadleaf evergreens are a grand foil for the shimmering purples of native blue asters and the brilliance of goldenrod. These two colors dominate the palette of the wildflowers here and have always meant cooler days and much cooler nights. These shades have always evoked a sense of excitement for me.

I have been making jewelry that is inspired by these textures and colors to list in my ArtFire studio shop, bohowirewrapped. This pendant is one of my newest listings. The ammonite in the center is surrounded by a gallery composed of copper and 14 carat gold filled wire, woven and spiraled into scroll work.

These peach moonstone and amazonite faceted beads become a charming pair of earrings when wrapped in solid copper and hung on hand forged earrings. The colors are perfect for any early fall ensemble, they're reminiscent of a fall sunrise.

This bold chalcedony and copper necklace features a focal pendant made of an unpolished slab of chalcedony with a druzy center that looks like it is full of sugar. The focal area was inspired by a sleeping yellow butterfly.
